When Ozzie eventually decides to put Ramirez back in the lineup, I say try Nix in center for a few starts and see how he does. I really think we need to see what this guy can do for a good two too three weeks.

What's really troubling, Joe, about Alexei Ramirez isn't just being in a sophomore slump. I absolutely agree with you that Alexei's sulking & poor play at the plate have come with him to what's supposed to be his more natural position of shortstop this season. Benching Alexei is just the beginning in my opinion, and I hope White Sox fans get accustomed to seeing Jayson Nix on this roster. As long as Nix stays healthy and continues to provide solid hitting & defense, Brent Lillibridge may be staring at a bus ticket to Triple "A" Charlotte once Brian Anderson is healthy enough from his oblique injury to play again.

im glad nix is getting a shot. he at least gives them a chance when hes in the box, unlike alexei. maybe this will have the same effect as last year, with alexei getting hot with the weather. GO SOX
