Danny Mac Show – Thursday July 2nd 2009
It’s Day 2 of the Marian Hossa Era. What are you doing to celebrate it? The Danny Mac show will take you inside the organ-I-zation for reaction to the Hawks new power forward and the loss of veteran goaltender Nikoalai Khabibulin, who signed with Edmonton Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Bulls lost Ben Gordon via free agency, to Detroit. We discuss the Gordon Era coming to a close… as well as the White Sox’ sweep of Cleveland and the Cubs salvaging a series in Pittsburgh. Who’s more adorable, Gordon Beckham or Cubs left-fielder Sam Fuld, who was on base three times Wednesday night and sparkled defensively?

Mac, I’ve heard you talking down to talk Harry & Jurko on the greatest sports talk show in history, a show that changed the face of radio, a show that took an impossible threesome of fat guys to get along for several years. One question, why do you kiss B & B ’s arses? If you are so great, why not attempt to debate your sport’s views and thoughts? Mac, B & B would be them talking down on you the whole time, like that fat guy who fell off his horse on ESPN.

OMG the danny mac show is dreadful. wtf?? is the score thinking about when they replaced Holmes and Hampton with these dannymac stiffs. They are horrible, they sound like a bunch of idiots. Midday officially stinks on the score. I can barely listen to a minute of their annoying voices. The chicago river has more personality than these guys.

I know that show sucked, but Mac constantly reminds us how that show had all the ratings, pizzazz, and how it significanty changed Chicago sports talk radio when B & B really made a lot of noise back then. He still wishes he was on that fatarse show on espn singing with the failed comedian and jurko.

Danny Mac is about as entertaining as Carrot Top.

Friday Hamp and Holmes
Good Morning:
It’s been a bad couple of weeks for Derrick Rose. We have to talk about it.
Who else knew that Curtis Granderson was going to tie the game last night? But the Sox use fundamentals to come through and win.
Another Geoff Blum 1-run loss for the Cubs. Now the Cubs and Sox need each other [...]

WYC is Back!
After missing a week due to Sox baseball, our signature segment returns at 5:00 this afternoon. Make sure to join us for the (usually) weekly comeuppance for hypocrisy and lies.
Speaking of which, this is from the Daily Herald on January 29th, after the Cubs signed outfielder Xavier Nady: “The Cubs insist Nady will be ready [...]

Nice to get Hossa, I was disappointed to see Khabiboulin go. Havlat too, but with the money involved it stands to reason. I was really hoping they’d keep Matt Walker to keep some toughness in the lineup but he signed with Tampa Bay. Colton Orr went to Toronto, Donald Brashear to the Rangers Mike Rupp signed with the Pens (where will that leave Godard?) ex-’Hawk David Koci signed with Colorado…so I hope Chicago keeps Eager since the availability of tough guys is quickly disappearing. Downey might get a shot in Detroit this season but with their euro style of play, it’s not likely.
