Monday on the Danny Mac Show

So much for a Victory Monday… Mac and Spiegel break down another Bears loss in Atlanta… What happened to the running game?  And what happened to Cutler?  Jim Miller jumps on at 10 to help answer those questions… Zach Zaidman has a Bears report at noon… The guys review ND’s loss to USC Saturday, and whether Jimmy Clausen helped or hurt his Heisman cause… plus some broadcast booth “treasures”…

After watching the game and digesting the miscues…I have come to the realization that our coaches just don’t teach these players control. This is an undisciplined team. Hester should have COUNTED the players on the field – like other return men do – on other teams. Allowing a 40+ yard runback on the ensuing kickoff after our second score – HORRIBLE! 20 YARDS of penalties on the final drive is unacceptable, and again, shows no discipline on the “O” line. We still have NO RUNNING game, and after watching 5 games, it’s not all the “O” lines fault. Granted, Olin just isn’t getting it done as center but Forte simply can’t get the job done running either. Thomas Jones runs all over the place for the Jets, Benson is simply on FIRE for yet another team, and what does our coaching staff do with talent? I think they squash it and stifle it. We need to blow up this coaching staff and get people in here that actually COACH – not just stand on the sidelines and stare at the game. We won’t make the playoffs, even as a wild card; not in this current state. GREAT SHOW GUYS – MAC – damn glad to hear you on the radio again!!!!

Is Matt Forte basically Anthony Thomas?

I was at the Georgia Dome, and Orlando Pace played DESPERATE last night. Don’t give him too much credit. His strategy was to put Abraham in a headlock at the line of scrimmage and then ride him until he fell down. The officials were very good to Orlando Pace last night.
