Monday with Mully and Hanley
It’s VICTORY Monday as the Bears beat the hapless Browns 30-6, but how excited are you about it really?? 6 am Dan Hampton checks in….6:40 Brad Biggs will join us with his Bear report, and then @ 8:30 Troy Aikman who was in Green Bay for the Favre return will check in. Plus another World Series Championship could be the Yankees this time Tuesday….And another shot to have Dinner with Greg Olsen and Mully at Sullivans….

Instead of Victory Monday, how about It wasn’t a loss Monday.

Does anyone really care about the Payton statue? Heard M&H mention it and it’s just sad that this field was dedicated to Veterans who lost their lives in wars that gave us our freedom and somehow people want to forget that. They want to go against a rule set up by the family who gave the land up to the city. I know Walter was the best player to ever grace the gridiron but come on…Is nothing sacred? Have the people of the United States removed themselves this far from what really matters? I know it’s not the end of the world but it is a small statement that sports play a bigger role in our lives then the men and women who gave up their lives so we can have such freedoms.

Sorry for throwing this out here but I remember a conversation regarding the window of opportunity for the Bears to win a super bowl. I don’t know if it was 8 years or 20 years but the explaination seemed to make complete sence. This team is family owned and has no other source of income. This team is not like the Blackhawks or the newly sold Cubs who can fall back on “Family” money while they make moves and hope to break even or cash in with a championship. Sure every team has a cap but some are able to let big money walk in hopes to save the season but the Bears can’t. I personally think a “Players Coach” is not the right fit for this team because of the ownership situation. I think the team has the talent but either lost the passion for the game or are simply abusing the system under Lovie and his “Respect the Players” coaching style. I mean, It’s finally coming out that the players have never seen “Coach” upset at them. WHY THE HELL NOT??? The Bears are laughing it up after losses, laughing all the way to the bank! They know the McCaskeys cant hand them walking papers and It’s a damn shame. I think it would be worth the 8 million bucks to see Lovie get the axe next year and get a coach who shows some emotion on and off the field. Long contracts and extensions are killing this team and without a fire under thier a$$es it will never end. If I was guaranteed my paycheck I would for sure not do my job the best I can, I’m human for God sake. What makes them any different? Incentives? Getting re-signed? Please….thats why contract years are so outstanding for athletes, thats why d-bags like Milton Bradley keep their mouth shut till they reach their at bats they need for a bonus.
Kinda sucks that the Bears owners weren’t the founders of McDonalds or some **** or we would contend every year instead of every 8 or 20, still don’t remember the number…..seems pointless.

Tommie Harris will succeed in another team after being cut (sooner or later) by the bears. This will be yet another proof of the incompetence of bears coaches on handling players. EVERY TEAM has players with issues, but sometimes, players need to know that they will get an earfull at the sidelines if they do something stupid instead of another “I‘m not mad, I’m dissapointed” soft talks ala Lovie

I wasn’t happy about the win !!! All I kept thinking about is how bad this team would be if the Bears wouldn’t have made the Cutler trade. Hang on it’s going to be a long year. I just hope Cutler can come out of the season unscaved.
