One of the best running backs in the league is Turner from Atlanta. Remember him? He grew up in Chicago and wanted to return and play for the Bears. No, Bears backed out of that deal. They did not want a proven free agent, we wanted to stick with Benson, then cut him and go to an undersized back, Forte, because Lovie picked him. Then, listen to the Bear’s PR-BS on how great a pick he is while he is running well below league average. Head-Case Coach: Lovie? Everything about Lovie was clear when the high point of his Super Bowl was going head-to-head with his old friend and setting a NFL Record Books for being in the first Super Bowl to be coached by 2 black men. I did not hear, we are going to kick the Colts freaking’ tails back to Indy and win a Super Bowl. There should be no color line here. What would Mike Singletary say in a similar situation? That nice but let’s kill the Colts head coach and the whole team while we win the Super Bowl. Go Mike. Did you like it when the Bear players were congratulating Cedric Benson during the Cincinnati game? Did he rob the Bears and all Bears fans? Lovie should have fined every player $100,000 each time they helped him up, patted him on the helmet or talked to him. No, Lovie is all about being the “Love,” a well loved coach and who is the players friend. Then...I might get into it here (I went to U of I)....then, there is Turner. That blank-blank ruined U of I Football program. When U of I finally dumped his sorry behind, the Bears welcomed him back with open arms. Are youkiddingme? They said, “he knows our system.” What system, the loosing system? He was cheap and available just like any hooker on Lake Street. Let’s setup a 2 yard pass on 3 and 7, throw underneath and keep the defense guessing. Right. Or ...3 and 2...Let’s throw that 60 yard corner diving-out-of-bounds-over-the-shoulder pass. They will think we are running. Right. Then there is the defensive coach. Wait...we don’t have one. Mr. “Love Machine” hired his buddy Babich. Babich failed, demoted to coordinator (not fired, because he has a contract) and then, Lovie took over the defense. Mr. Lovin’, kissin’ and a huggin’ the meanest bunch guys on a football team. Right. Try to strip the ball, get your “Love” statistic and the runner spins-off and picks up another 15 yards! First down! The last real defensive coach, Rivera, had to eat crow when Mr. Love demanded his “clovier-two” against Manning in the Super Bowl. That is like feeding prime steak to a lion! Manning starting smiling two weeks before the game. He thought, “I love you Lovie!” Big hug. In my opinion, most NFL players have the same talents. Only the top-of-the-top guys play in the NFL. As little as two or three super players make the difference and coaching pulls it all together. This Bears team is baked. Let’s have a Tupperware party at Lovie’s house and make a bunt cake in their honor. BTW...Tommy Harris does not have the ability or the courage to tell it like it is. The Bears are a team known for their defensive power in games, this is true for the 2005 and 2006 season. In the seasons that I have mentioned I did notice when watching a game that their offense was inconsistent and barely moved the ball then the defense would take the field and score on takeaways (fumbles and interceptions). I am no football expert and do not plan to be I just like the game, then I look at this season for the Bears, Ulacher hurt, who is the defensive and team leader for the Chicago Bears. I did not think this would have a significant impact but look at some other teams where star defensive players were hurt and how the teams faired without that player. The offense is able to score and I do like Cutler, he is a gunslinger, trying to make something happen out of nothing, he is also accurate. Now he does not protect the ball like Orton but he does not have that much time in the pocket. There are some major problems that I see with the whole defense and offense that will take longer than a couple of days to fix, it may take a season. The receivers are rookies but on track to break a couple of records in the club and Forte is a great running back but it starts with the offensive line. If they can not block then it makes the team look bad on offense, then vice-versa on the defensive side of the ball. Why seven players on the Bears defense can't guard 4 coming off the line is completely passed me. I don't even see them react in the zones the scheme they play calls for. Are they waiting for permission to deny a pass to receiver? Don't know but it sure looks like it. Maybe someone should inform them that the guys with the other color jerseys are who they're supposed to be guarding.
