Larry you know man I love you but I just can't agree with you here. Cutler is the only "leader" on this team I saw yesterday get up in front of the camera and accept responsibility for the teams failures. What did Lovie say? The team wasn't motivated? WTF. Can someone please tell me who on a team is responsible for getting a team motivated. I thought it was the coaches - I must have been wrong.

And I have to point out something else. Before Cedric Benson was released by the Bears, he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease which is a pretty serious digestive disorder. A lot of what folks were complaining about about Benson are symptoms of this disease, And it's easily treated with a gluten free diet. ANGELO AND SMITH knew this before Benson was released. They knew this and released him anyway and now he's shining with the Bengals, Oh let's add Thomas Jones to that who is going for yet another 1000 plus yard season. It's called incompetent front office personnel.

And why are players gradually speaking out now about how players Smith and Angelo delibarately let go are now missed. Briggs's comments told me a lot and to me were a direct hit to both these guys. Brown, Chris Harris, Thomas Jones, John Tait, Bernard Berrian, and yes Ron Rivera all released-let go and their replacements - in effectives. Explain to me the Chris Williams scenario also. Every other fecking team out there said the guy had a back problem but the Bears knew better. Oh and what happened. Williams is out a whole season for Back surgery.

I am really kind of tired how every years with this team the QB is the problem. Every year for the past 20 years when there are failures, it;s the QB. I;m tired of it to be honest. The front office and coaching is the problem. That's not to say some of the players aren't but let's lose Phillips, Angela, Smith and that gravey train and hire new leadership.

It says "football blog"
Last I checked the Bears play every week.
I am sure many more would post here if the blog was current ?

All I have to say is 52 pass attempts. 52. How many QB's win a game with that many thrown. I guess your right Laurence. Green Bay his fault. Bears were up at the end of the game and there was blown coverage. Damn that Cutler for not being there. ATL game tying drive and Pace moves. Damn that Cutler for not grabbing that guys waist and holding him in place. Or giving Forte Stick em to stop fumbling. Cincy and ARZ damn Cutler for not being in the right spot on Defense. I will not say Cutler was not at fault during the SF game, but damn is he the only QB to ever have a bad game. Red zone INT's kinda hard not to have when a team cant punch the ball in one the 1. If I recall Peyton had 5 int a few years back. Farve, lets not even go there. He throws them like there going out of style. ^ in a playoff game against ST. Louis. I think everyone needs to relax. And by the way the big offensive juggernaut known as Orton. 10 points in 8 quarters of football.

Sup Holmes? I have to disagree on some of your comments, although I understand your thoughts.

Here are my thoughts:

Cutler is not the Bears problem here. Everyone that says that the Bears are bad because of him, and that they wish that the Bears still had Orton should take themselves out back to the woodshed and kick their own ass.

Sure Cutler had a bad game, and has had a handful of bad games for the Bears, but HE IS RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE! He is probably sick of getting his ass kicked every damn play. Sure he has tried to make too much happen and made some bad decisions, but he knows that if he doesn't take things upon him self they will lose. BECAUSE HE KNOWS THEY SUCK. Sure it's fair to say that he has to clean that up, and not try to be a hero, but don't expect any wins that way. Hell, he still gave us a chance to win at the end when we probably had no business being in that game.

Here are the issues in my mind:

The Bears are the most undisciplined team in recent Memory. (Bears wise) Silly penalties, players not knowing where to line up, Players not knowing what their blocking assignments are. (Funny that Schaffer came in and asked Beekman and Olsen how to block. I wonder what their response was..."Uh...I have no idea") ha ha
Receivers not finishing routes, not knowing what their routes are, or not knowing the "hot" routes on blitzes.
This is a direct reflection on the coaching staff. They cannot get this team to perform at any decent level (comparative to their talent level) and something needs to be done. Hell even our special teams is not playing up to the level that we usually expect. Taking crazy penalties, turning the ball over...and now we can't get a return to the 20 yard line.

The Bears have no running game. Teams can load up on the pass, because they know they don't have to respect the sorry ass Bears running attack. Saying "we will let Cutler try to beat us, which will be tough since they have no weapons for him to go to" This has some to do with our horrible line, and some to do with Forte's indecisiveness. He doesn't seem like he knows where to run to hit the open holes.
This causes issues because the Bears have no way to keep defenses off-balance, and honest. We can't run play action since they know that our runs wont amount to much and Turner isn't some sort of magician to come up with magical plays to confuse defenses. He is more of a conventional offensive coordinator. I do still feel that the coaches could come up with a better offensive game plan. Calling a delayed hand off in the middle of the field on 3rd and 12 isn't a great call in my opinion.

I hope that you guys can reflect and comment on my statements.

Thank you for a great show!
