So, Mulley, was a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game last night for the Blackhawks ‘distracted’ enough for ya?

As for blowing the lead, well, the Sharks still have the most points in the NHL, so it’s probably more surprising that the Hawks were able to get up 3-0 so quickly. The Hawks lost the lead due to taking their foot off the gas; they got owned in the 2nd period and part of the 3rd.

Blackhawks did have a good jump in that first period but they were OWNED in the second period and they were d@mn lucky the sharks didn’t score 2 or 3 times! That second period was as about as flustered as I have seen this team all season. They could not sustain any pressure in the offensive zone when they did actually manage to get the puck over the blue line, they were rushing passes and missing a lot of passes, losing all the battles on the boards in their own end, not engaging in some physicality when it was presented READ: BYFUGLIEN! WTF WERE YOU DOING NOT BEATING THE S H ! T OUT OF CLOWE WHEN HE CHALLENGED YOU???!! One thing in particular was galringly evident in that second period. When San Jose gets in the offensive zone, they didin’t waste any time getting pucks on the net. As soon as they gained the blue line there were two guys charging the net and a shot coming from just outside the face off circle. And if they got down low they were trying wrap arounds and passing into the slot. Chicago was wasting a lot of effort trying to get set up to get of a clean shot and 9 times out of 10 it ended up in the puck being turned over without any shot on goal. Chicago got absolutely schooled in north/south hockey in that second period. Heck yeah I’m glad they weathered the storm and won the game but they also let San Jose off the hook by giving them a point! San Jose is a scary team and the Blackhawks better be prepared a h e l l of a lot better the next time they play.

After listening to you ‘fawn’ all over Manning and the Colts I am starting to believe that the Colts are
playing the Cleveland Browns. You rarely mention Brees. Look for a big game from him.

Manning and Co. played two ‘average’ teams in the playoffs whereas the Saints played two good teams on their road to the Super Bowl(no, I am not paying the NFL for using the word Superbowl).

Look for the Saints to win by 10 or more. They have a better defense and more weapons offensively.
I would give more meat in my argument but I have to leave for work.

The only way this game stays close is if the rain continues in Florida.

Mulley and Hanley…..put that crack pipe down!
